Priyanka Chopra is making her return to Indian screens with Varanasi. While her first look left her desi fans highly intrigued, getting the actress onboard wasn't an easy task for director SS Rajamouli.
Infact, he had to fulfil one condition of Priyanka to get her cast opposite Mahesh Babu in the mega-budget movie. But if you thought her demand was anything about her salary or role, well, there's a catch. It was about something she didn't get to do in Hollywood, and was longing for during her six years away from the Indian cinema. Varanasi also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prakash Raj, and is gearing up for a release on April 7.

Varanasi with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka revealed that she asked Rajamouli to do the film. It was to get to do some dancing! In an interview with CinemaBlend, Priyanka shared, "I hadn’t done an Indian film in about six years. When he called me and said, ‘The female character is really cool, and you should do it,’ I had just one request: ‘Will you make me dance? Please, because I haven’t danced in so long.’"She further took a jibe, "Turns out, I shouldn’t have asked—because now we’re dancing! There’s a lot of dancing, and poor Mahesh was like, ‘It’s because of you. Because of you, I have to do this too.’"

Mahesh Babu, who was witting with her, vouched that the song is "sensational." He added, "We’ve already shot one song, and it keeps playing in our minds. Priyanka keeps singing it all the time. She wanted to dance, and he made sure she did."
