As Grover goes off on his own quest and the others set out to find him, Aryan spoke about the new changes in Season 2 and why he was so pleased with the wedding dress for his character. The young star also discussed separating the two versions of Grover and why they are similar and different at the same time.
Aryan Simhadri on Grover's quest in Percy Jackson Season 2
In an interview with
Zoom, Aryan said of his character, "Grover is kind of going through it this season. In the last season, he kind of had Percy and Annabeth take the brunt of it. But this season, he's going through it. He's getting dragged through the sand. He's getting tied up in a wedding dress. Not much more I can say without spoiling it."

The actor revealed that this season was much more physical. He continued, "I got to work with our incredible stunts team on a lot of it. They taught us how to ride a horse. They brought us up to Danny Virtue [Studio Ranch]. [He was] basically the head of stunts Canada and the greatest stuntman in all of Canada. They brought us up to his ranch, and he just taught us how to ride horses for a day. I don't even come within the radius of a horse. But they still taught me how to ride one. And it was awesome."The second episode, titled Demon Pigeons Attack, which was released on December 10, is dedicated to the late great stuntman Danny Virtue. Aryan teases the wedding dress scene and Grover's arc
As Grover is captured in this latest season by Polyphemus, the satyr pretends to be a female cyclops and wears a wedding dress to avoid being killed. Speaking about the much-awaited scene for book fans, Aryan shared, "I think that's the one thing I can say they're going to be happy about very confidently. I think they're going to be happy about everything else too. But for me, that was a standout moment. I was thrilled when I saw it. It's like a culmination of every person on set and what their vision was. And I think we pulled it off beautifully. Our costumer for the season, Kate Adair, brought in her own personal Swarovski crystals to throw onto the dress. We just tattered it, and we ruined it. We dragged it through the ocean. And it just looks like this beautiful ruined piece of art. And it's genuinely spectacular."
The cast is also hard at work on the third season of the show, and there are plans to continue it beyond as well. When asked how he felt about shaping this character over these seasons, the young star said, "It's a funny thing because I'm such a huge fan of the books, we all are. So it's kind of hard for us to separate... obviously certain things can't be adapted. And some things have to be changed for an adaptation. And so it's hard to separate like, book Grover from show Grover. And I always get the two mixed up because they're so similar but so different in certain aspects. It's funny to me to kind of feel ownership over both of these characters, who were very different but the same. And so I'm always like giving things from the book that I want to happen. And they're like, that wouldn't make sense with the journey that he's on. And it's weird for me to keep track of it."The first two episodes of
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 are now streaming on JioHotstar in India. The show will release every Wednesday until January 21, 2026.
