After the release of the Border 2 song, Ghar Kab Aaoge, Varun was highly trolled for his expressions in it. However, after the film release, he received a lot of love from the audience and critics for his performance in the war drama. While interacting with the media, Varun Dhawan mentioned that Salman Khan called him at 2 am and praised his performance in Border 2. The Main Tera Hero actor mentioned that Salman supported him. He got a phone call from the actor at night, and he said that good things are about to come in his life.
Varun said that Salman Khan is very happy for him. The actor revealed, “Salman bhai said, ‘I am proud of you, beta’.” He mentioned that the call came at 2 am. He just stood up on his bed. Dhawan called it one of the most defining moments for him because Salman doesn’t praise people easily. His words gave Varun a lot of confidence.
Varun Dhawan And Salman Khan’s Bond
It has to be noted that Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan share a strong bond of friendship with each other. The Bollywood superstar trained Varun during the initial days of his career. Salman had also made cameo appearances in Varun’s Judwaa 2 and Baby John.

Border 2 also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in pivotal roles. Directed by Anurag Singh, the war drama crossed Rs 300 crore mark at the box office. The film has become a hit at the box office.

Varun Dhawan will next be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai opposite Mrunal Thakur, Mouni Roy and Pooja Hegde. The film is being helmed by David Dhawan. The film will release this year.
