Sivakumar Reacts To Radikaa Sarathkumar's Revelation ON Suriya–Jyotika’s Romance
Radikaa Sarathkumar recently took a trip down memory lane while promoting her upcoming film Thaai Kizhavi. At a lively promotional event hosted by Suhasini Maniratnam for Galatta, and attended by veteran actor Sivakumar, Radikaa shared a delightful behind-the-scenes story from Suriya’s early days in the industry Radikaa recalled that Suriya, who was just a few films old that time, was extremely shy on set. He kept to himself and rarely initiated conversations. Interestingly, she noticed that Jyotika, who was working alongside him, had a similarly reserved personality. Observing their quiet nature, Radikaa felt they might connect well if given a gentle push. She encouraged the two to talk to each other.
Responding to Radikaa’s recollection, her Poovum Puyalum co-star Sivakumar added a humorous tone to the story. He joked that if it weren’t for Radikaa’s intervention, Suriya would have kept quiet, taken care of his own work, and would have never spoken to Jyotika. But that one incident changed their lives, and they ended by getting married and even becoming parents to two children. Suriya and Jyotika’s dated for several years, and tied the knot in 2006.
