the love of fans by starring in Tamil films showcasing his powerful acting. During one of his films, Vijay, along with his wife, attended a grand event which also saw the presence of Udhayanidhi Stalin and Trisha. Read on to know which one it is.
Which Event Did Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vijay, Trisha and Sangeetha Attend Together?
The four attended the success celebration of the film
Kuruvi. After completing a 150-day theatrical run, the team of
Kuruvi marked the film’s success on 4 October 2008 at Hotel Park Sheraton in Chennai. The function was presided over by veteran director K. Balachander, while Tamil Film Producers’ Council president Rama Narayanan was also present at the event. On stage, Trisha was seated next to Vijay during the felicitation ceremony for a brief while. Later, Sangeetha and Vijay were seen bonding with Udhayanidhi Stalin’s family.
Vijay was also seen sharing warm moments with his wife Sangeetha and Udhayanidhi Stalin. Despite becoming one of the highest-grossing films of that year and marking the reunion of the
Ghilli team—Vijay, Dharani, Vidyasagar, and Trisha—
Kuruvi did not match the impact of Vijay’s previous blockbusters. Vijay and Udhayanidhi did not collaborate again after this film.
In 2023, Udhayanidhi revealed the reason behind this in an interview with a media portal. He said Vijay does not become friends easily, but when he does, he becomes very close. He added that he and Vijay became close friends, but after the release of
Kuruvi, some people tried to create misunderstandings between them, which affected their friendship.
As a result, they did not speak for two years. He further said that after meeting Vijay in person and explaining what had happened, they reconciled and became friends again, though they continued to maintain a certain distance from each other.
