Sandeep Raj's Mowgli RELEASE DATE Announced, Here's When Film Will Hit Screens In India And US

A day ago, director Sandeep Raj took to social media to pen an emotional note after his film Mowgli, which was scheduled to hit screens on 12 December, was to be postponed, after the makers of Nandamuri

Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 also announced the same release date. Soon, Sandeep Raj had to go with with a direct OTT release to prevent a box office clash. However, after a few promising calls with distributors and film producers Mowgli has secured a new release date.

When Will Sandeep Raj's Mowgli Release In India And US?

Soon after Sandeep Raj posted his heartbreaking note about his film being 'pushed', actor-director Rahul Ravindran, singer Chinmayi Sripaada and Sai Durgha Tej offered their support. However, some criticised him, accusing him of doing it for sympathy. Sandeep Raj has now explained the reason being his frustration. He revealed that he received a call which informed him about the film getting a release date in February 2026 or April 2026, and that made him react the way he did. Not long after, he was told that the makers reconsidered their decision, and had actually decided on a new date. The film Mowgli starring Roshan Kanakala will be released in India on December 13, 2025. The film will hit US on 11 December, making its premiere.

The tweet read "First of all let me clarify my dear brother… I never wanted to cook any sympathy dramas over anyone. Yesterday morning we recieved a call that we are pushed to February or April in 2026 which made me emotional and tweet about my fate. But, as the day progressed all the distributors along with our producers thought of bringing it little earlier with a good release date where we were left with no option. So, the movie got locked to Dec 13th as we have huge releases for Christmas and Sankranti. I am not at all celebrating now, i really want support from everyone as much as possible and dont want to face heat from anyone. My respect towards Akhanda is immense and you can see that in interview. Requesting you to stop changing narratives of my words."The film produced by People's Media Factory also stars Sakshi Mhadolkar as the female lead. The technical team of Mowgli includes cinematographer Rama Maruti M, production designer Kiran Mamidi, music composer Kaala Bhairava, editor Kodati Pavan Kalyan, and stunt choreographer Natraj Madigonda. Rama Murthy M and Radhakrishna Reddy as co-writers.
