the spy thriller was released on December 5, 2025 and within three weeks of its release, it had earned over Rs 500 crore. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Aditya, and Arjun Rampal. Amid all the buzz, a new report is surfacing that Khanna's character Rehman Dakait, which was killed by Singh in the first part, will return in Dhurandhar 2.
Akshaye Khanna To Return In Dhurandhar 2?
According to a new report shared by Filmfare,
Dhurandhar 2 will feature Akshaye Khanna’s return, as the makers plan to reveal his backstory in the sequel. The insider revealed, "It is confirmed that Akshaye Khanna will return to sets for a short one-week shoot, aimed at expanding his character’s backstory and adding more layers to his role in the next chapter of the franchise."
The makers of the film officially announced that
Dhurandhar 2 is slated for a grand Eid 2026 release on March 19, 2026. The sequel to Ranveer Singh’s film will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
