Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend and actress Trisha Krishnan received a bomb threat at her Chennai residence today (April 14). An email was received at the Tamil Nadu DGP control room that claimed that explosives had been planted at her house in Alwarpet as well as the Bangladesh Deputy Consulate. Eventually, the bomb threat turned out to be a hoax after Teynampet police carried out an intensive search operation along with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads. The news left Trisha fans in shock as they started expressing concern about her on social media.

According to an NDTV report, the investigation team confirmed that the threat mail turned out to be a hoax. A few days ago, similar kinds of bomb threat mails were received for Rajinikanth's and Dhanush’s residences also. They also turned out to be a hoax. The Chennai DGP office has been receiving multiple bomb threat emails targeting prominent personalities in recent times. The cops investigated the matter and found out that such threats were fake. Authorities have also warned of strict action and have made arrests in connection with such hoax threats. The cops are continuing the investigation by tracing such email IDs used to send threats.

It has to be noted that Trisha Krishnan has not shared her statement after receiving a hoax bomb threat.
