Bollywood's iconic filmmaker duo Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt parted ways due to unknown reasons. While the brothers had been maintaining a dignified silence amid the fallout, Mukesh has now spoken about his
bond with elder brother Mahesh. He claimed that "people had vested interests" in their separation. In an interview with Lehren Retro, the veteran filmmaker said, "I have no bitterness towards him. I don’t know what he feels about me, but there is none from my side. He (Mahesh) is gullible, and people had vested interests in how these brothers could be separated."He also reacted to Vikram Bhatt's exploitation accusations and added, "I won’t get swayed by what someone says. Mahesh Bhatt is my God, he is my elder brother. I love him deeply and always will. I’m not saying this as a jumla, I say it from my heart. I wish him respect, love, and prayers for happiness because he is a very good human being.""No matter how good a person is, everyone has shortcomings. His shortcoming is that he is easily influenced, and he got swept up in that," said Mukesh. For those unversed, Vishesh Films was taken over by the younger brother a few years ago due to differences with Mahesh. It was officially announced that Mukesh would run the firm, known for bankrolling hits like Raaz, Murder, Gangster, and more.Vikram, Mahesh's protege, later claimed that his mentor had been exploited by his brother. He allegedly told him, "Saalo tak mere bhai (Mukesh Bhatt) ne mujhe exploit kia hai. Main nahi chahta ki woh tujhe exploit kare. (My brother has exploited me for year. I don’t want him to exploit you). You go and do something on your own."On the work front, Mukesh is producing Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film, Tu Aashiqui Hai.
