Produced by Aditya Chopra and Akshaye Widhwani under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Mardaani 3 is currently running smoothly at the box office. One of the most loved performances from the film, apart from Rani, is of Mallika Prasad's Amma. The actress sat down for an exclusive interview with Zoom and shared anecdotes from the set.

Recalling her epic face-off with Rani Mukerji in Mardaani 3, Mallika shared that it was very interesting because it's that moment where one sees two people on two sides of the law willing to go to any length to get what they have got their mindset to. "They talk about madness on both sides, that idea of madness and unhingedness to pursue something all the way through to its end, that was an exciting part of the scene," added the actress.

Mardaani 3 delves deeper into another dark and brutal reality of our society. Previously, the first two installments in the franchise talked about sensitive subjects such as human trafficking and a serial rapist.

The film also stars Janki Bodiwala, Jisshu Sengupta, Mikhail Yawalkar and Indraneel Bhattacharya. Tahir Raj Bhasin and Vishal Jethwa played the antagonists in the previous parts of the franchise. Mardaani 3 is set in Bulandshahr, where girls and young children are used for begging. Amongst them, some become Ramanujan’s targets. Shivani and her team at NIA are responsible for stopping the culprits from causing further harm. The film was supposed to released on February 27; however, it got preponed to January 30.

Also, as per a report in OTTplay, the highly anticipated thriller drama will premiere on Netflix following its theatrical release. The movie will stream on Netflix after March 27, 2026, going by the eight-week window after its theatrical launch in India. Mardaani 3 was suppose to release on February 27, but it has now released a month early.
