Peddi's Janhvi Kapoor Reveals Telugu Industry 'Respects' Working Hours: Sometimes Compromised Back Home - EXCL

Charan and Janhvi Kapoor are going out and about to promote their upcoming film, Peddi. The sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is set for grand theatrical release on June 4. Before their movie release, Ram and Janhvi joined Times Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar for an exclusive conversation. During this interview, the actors discussed their film and various aspects of their respective acting careers. Other than that, Janhvi praised the Telugu film industry. Wondering why? Janhvi Kapoor lauds Telugu film industry

On The Newshour, Peddi actress Janhvi said, "What I really appreciate about specifically the Telugu film industry is their respect for everyone's working hours. Not just the actors but also the technicians and the crew members." The actress added that a lunch break there means a person can have lunch for 40 minutes and take a nap for 20 minutes before returning for their respective duties.

However, Janhvi believes, "Sometimes that is compromised back home." Recalling her time working in the Telugu film industry, the actress shared that she shot for 12 hours only once of twice. Otherwise, the actress would only shoot for nine to ten hours a day. "A night shoot always ends at 2 am, so you're rested. So I think they're very particular about things like that. In Mumbai, I guess it depends on the film set you're on. But I will say, if I can say so, there are little more pre-planned (things), can I say in Mumbai?," she stated. Adding to this, Ram mentioned that he looks up to the Hindi film industry and feels people do everything on time. "I wish I could finish movies also in 70 days or less than that. This (Peddi) is 285 days over 2 years. So even I wish I was doing it for 40 hours," he said.
