CM Vijay Brings MAJOR Change In Kollywood: Jana Nayagan Actor Allows 5 Shows Per Day For New Tamil Films

Joseph Vijay, aka Thalapathy Vijay, has officially granted permissions to theatre owners in Tamil Nadu to run five shows daily of the new Tamil films in cinema halls in its first 7 days of its release. It is indeed considered as a landmark decision in Kollywood, as earlier, the producers would have to take special permissions from the concerned authorities for the same. Now, the Tamil Nadu CM has himself issued an order to allow five shows per day for upcoming Tamil films to boost the box office business. His decision must have brought smiles to producers’ faces.

Vijay’s Big Move In Tamil Cinema

According to a new order passed by Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, a newly released Tamil film can have five scheduled shows a day for seven days beginning with the day of its release. Apart from that, five shows can be scheduled on weekends, festive holidays and government holidays. This new directive also details that extra shows can be scheduled without the requirement of the permission of the concerned authorities. Previously, the producers would have to take permission from the Chennai police commissioner and other authorities for the special shows or any other additional shows of their films. But now, after Vijay’s decision, the makers would not have to take any permission for the same.

Now, the Tamil movie fans will get extra shows to watch a new film in theatres. The move is now being celebrated by the fans and producers from the Tamil film industry. Some of the netizens have also reacted to Vijay’s decision on social media. Earlier, Vijay had allowed a 9 am show for Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s film, Karuppu, after becoming the CM of the state. Now, he has made the rule mandatory for all the new and upcoming Tamil films.
