Paridhi Sharma on controversy with Jodha Akbar director
In an exclusive conversation, Paridhi said, "I used the mental harassment word. And media ne
usey dusre word se circulate kar dia tha. Seriously, I have overcome that thing. If I can take away something (from that incident, it is that)...
ek naye actor hai na, uske andar ek darr bohot hota hai especially director ka.
Aap respect karo, but iss kadar tak saamne wale ko havi mat hone do ki aapki personal space ya personally aapko torture karne tak ki ispe aajaiye. Vo stand har ko actor ko lena (chahiye), especially agar newcomer hai."(
Loose translation: I used the word 'mental harassment'. And the media had circulated it with a different word. Seriously, I have overcome that thing. If I can take away something (from that incident), it is that a new actor has a lot of fear of the director. You should respect him, but don't let the other person dominate you to such an extent that he invades your personal space or personally tortures you. Every actor should take that stand, especially if he/she is a newcomer.)Watch full interview here -

The
Jodha Akbar actress further shared a strong message for the newcomers. She urged them to voice their opinions if they are harassed and treated wrongly."
Aap bilkul bindaas apni aawaz uthaye. I think MeToo ke baad toh ye cheeze.... strongly female apni baatein rakh sakti hai. Bilkul rakhiye. Agar aapko zara sa bhi harassment feel ho raha hai, zara sa bhi aapko lag raha hai ki aapke saath galat treatment ho raha hai, toh full aapki right hai ki aap usse highlight kijiye, express kijiye aur bilkul dabne aur darne ki zaroorat nahi hai. That's the takeaway I could share with people," the actress stated.(
Loose translation: You should speak up without fear. I think after MeToo, these things... women can strongly express their views. If you feel even the slightest bit of harassment, even the slightest bit of unfair treatment, you have every right to highlight it, to express it, and there's absolutely no need to suppress or be afraid. That's the takeaway I could share with people.)
