Delhi: India-origin techie Anand Varadarajan has been appointed by Starbucks as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and executive vice president. Varadarajan has been with Amazon for nearly two decades and will now lead technology operations at Starbucks.Anand Varadarajan will join Starbucks as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from January 19 and would be reporting directly to Amazon’s Chief Executive Officer Brian Niccol, the company said. Anand Varadarajan has been with Amazon for almost two decades (19 years). He majorly focussed on developing customer related technology platforms, overseeing supply chain for its Worldwide Grocery Stores business.
