And just like that, we are in the last month of 2025. In the last 12 months, Bollywood welcomed new faces and celebrated superstars at the box office. While stars like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan had multiple releases, fans did miss seeing some of their favourites on the big screen. With a shuffle in the release calendar, fans will have to wait for a few more months to have their favourites set the screen on fire. Shah Rukh Khan fans were delighted with three back-to-back releases in 2023, but sadly, the superstar had no release in 2024 and 2025. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan returned to the big screen after a 5-year hiatus in 2023 with Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. In 2024, he was busy choosing scripts and locking his schedule for upcoming projects. This year too, he did not have any theatrical release besides a special appearance in his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. Shah Rukh’s next film, King, releases in 2026.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt was supposed to end the year with the first female spy thriller from YRF, Alpha, co-starring Sharvari and Bobby Deol. However, the film has been pushed to April 2026 due to extended post-production work. With this, the actress will have two releases next year. Besides Alpha, Alia has Love And War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor spent 2025 shooting for two major big-ticket films, titled Ramayana and Love And War. After Animal in 2024, the actor did a special appearance in this year’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood show on Netflix. Besides that, he did not have any theatrical release. Ramayana is scheduled for Diwali 2026, whereas Love And War’s final release date is unannounced.

Deepika Padukone

Fans are waiting for Deepika Padukone’s comeback on the big screen after giving birth to daughter Dua Padukone Singh in 2024. Though she did not have any theatrical release this year, the actress has locked her next after Kalki 2898 AD. Deepika will headline Atlee’s sci-fi film with Allu Arjun. The release date is still unannounced.

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor's fans want her to sign more films. After Stree 2 in 2024, she spent this year choosing scripts and preparing for exciting characters. Though Shraddha did not have a release in 2025, she started shooting for Eetha, the biopic of Lavani dancer Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.

Katrina Kaif

Besides being a successful actress, Katrina Kaif is one of the leading beauty entrepreneurs as her brand Kay Beauty continues ruling the market. After Merry Christmas in 2024, she hasn’t signed a new film and fans would have to wait longer because she is currently enjoying the blissful phase of motherhood.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been reinventing herself with every new film. After The Buckingham Murders in 2024, she locked Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra with Prithviraj Sukumaran. She did not have any theatrical release in 2025. Daayra is aiming for a 2026 release.
