Dutt’s upcoming film, Aakhri Sawal, has finally got a green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification. After a delay linked to scrutiny by the CBFC, the censor board has given clearance to the Sanjay Dutt-starrer. Now, the film is all set to release in theatres on May 15, 2026. For the unversed, Aakhri Sawal’s trailer was supposed to be released on April 30, 2026, but due to delay in clearance from the censor board, the makers had to push the launch. Now, they have given the clearance, and the Aakhri Sawal trailer will now be out on May 8, 2026, i.e., tomorrow.
Aakhri Sawal Is Ready To Hit The Big Screens
The makers recently shared an official update on Aakhri Sawal’s release date and trailer release date on Instagram. The production company, Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures, shared a post with a caption that reads, “Tomorrow, the nation will witness the truth. The wait is over — the most awaited trailer drops tomorrow. #AakhriSawal trailer out tomorrow...Get ready to know the answer on May 15 only in cinemas (sic)."
The post is now going viral on social media and fans are now excited to watch the trailer of Aakhri Sawal, which will be out tomorrow. For the unversed, the Aakhri Sawal teaser sparked major debate on social media as the film focuses on some controversial topics like the ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) after Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination and the Babri Masjid’s demolition in 1992. The film positions the narrative around the burning questions that have persisted in public discourse over the years. Since CBFC has given clearance to the Sanjay Dutt starrer, it would be interesting to see how the makers have portrayed such topics in Aakhri Sawal.

Aakhri Sawal has been directed by a National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang. It is co-produced by Nikhil Nanda, Puneet Nanda, Dr Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, Ujjwal Anand and
