Kunal Kemmu is a Single Papa in new Netflix series
On Instagram, Netflix India posted, "Dher saara pyaar, aur dher saari takraar. Gehlot parivaar ka tamasha is due soon. Watch Single Papa, coming soon, only on Netflix." The trailer opens with Gaurav's divorce proceedings as Isha Talwar plays his ex-wife. She lists several reasons why she can't stay married to him, including the fact that his mother (Ayesha Raza) still buys his underwear and his father (Manoj Pahwa) gives him pocket money.

Gaurav decides to change his life around after divorce by adopting a baby named Amul. His family is stunned, but the 30-year-old naive manchild doesn't listen to their objections. Pretty soon, he's dealing with soiled nappies and no sleep taking care of the little one. But the biggest roadblock he will have to clear is Neha Dhupia's Romilla Nehra, who refuses to approve him for adoption.
Single Papa also stars Prajakta Koli, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed, and Dhruv Rathee. The Hindi dramedy is created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani. Filmmakers Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya, and Neeraj Udhwani have co-directed the series, which is produced by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan under the Juggernaut Productions banner.
Kunal Kemmu, Neha Dhupia speak about Single Papa
Kunal, who plays the title character Gaurav Gahlot, shared, “Playing Gaurav has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The character is flawed, funny, and fiercely loving… just like so many real-life single parents. I think audiences will see themselves and their families in this show. The warmth of every character is what makes this show so special and wholesome!”Mismatched star Prajakta Koli, who essays the role of Gaurav's sister Namrata, stated, "Single Papa highlights what a perfectly imperfect Indian family looks like. Noisy, loving, opinionated, dramatic but always there for each other. I am a single child, so I never understood what bickering with siblings felt like before Single Papa. The banter with Kunal, the arguments, the affection, just flowed naturally."Finally, Neha Dhupia, who plays the no-nonsense Romilla Nehra, added, “As a parent myself, what touched me the most about Single Papa is how honestly it portrays the chaos, tenderness and imperfections that make families what they are. Parenting is never linear, never perfect, and the show captures that beautifully. It blends humour and heart in a way that feels deeply real. Being a part of this world was incredibly fulfilling, and I can’t wait for audiences to feel the warmth, madness and love we’ve created.”
