The solemn prayer meeting was attended by family members, political leaders, and celebrities. Hema spoke about her late husband and remembered their several superhit films together. Queen actress Kangana Ranaut met with the bereaved family and later posted, "Aaj Hema ji aur parivar se milkar dil bhar aaya, Dharm ji hamesha hamari yaadon mein zinda rahengey.”

Shah Rukh Khan to meet up with Lionel Messi in Kolkata

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the GOAT Lionel Messi are setting up an epic meeting. King Khan himself announced on X that he will be at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium on December 13. Khan, who is also the owner of the Knight Riders, wrote, "This time round not planning my Knight in Kolkata…. and hoping the day Ride is completely ‘Messi’." Messi will also be visiting Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi between December 13 and December 15.

Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar postponed hours before release

Karthi starrer Vaa Vaathiyaar, due to release in theatres on 12 December, has now been postponed after a stay order from the Madras High Court over unpaid debt. Studio Green’s KE Gnanavel Raja faces an outstanding debt of ₹10.35 crore, which has grown to ₹21.78 crore with interest. The HC has now ordered a stay on the release of Vaa Vaathiyaar across all platforms until the debt is repaid. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the Tamil film featured Karthi and Krithi Shetty.

Ananya Panday backs out of Choomantar?

Ananya Panday has reportedly walked out of Maddock Films' fantasy drama Choomantar. She was set to star alongside Abhay Varma in the Hindi film. However, a report suggests that she quit Choomantar due to scheduling issues with Amazon Prime Video's Call Me Bae Season 2. Vash Level 2 actress Janki Bodiwala and Sreeleela are some of the names in the running to replace her.

Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar banned in Gulf countries

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar is not being screened in Gulf countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. According to reports, the Hindi film has been perceived to be anti-Pakistan. While the makers of Dhurandhar did try to get a release clearance in the countries, they all did not approve of the film's thematic approach and thus banned its release.
