Dhurandhar: Rehman Dakait To Major Iqbal, Who Plays What In Ranveer Singh Film

has set the box office on fire. Within two days, the film has crossed the Rs 60 crore mark and now, trade analysts are predicting Rs 100 crore + collection in the next couple of days. Dhurandhar has become the talk of the town and the characters are already a hit. From Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait to Ranveer Singh’s Hamza Ali Mazari and Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal, these characters have left an indelible mark on the audience. Here’s your guide to knowing them and who will be seen in Part 2.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh will find himself in the centre of the storm in Dhurandhar Part 2 as he will be facing a new antagonist, who will be revealed next year. The actor plays the role of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, alias Hamza Ali Mazari, who is sent to Pakistan by the Indian intelligence to infiltrate the underworld and send information back home.

Akshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna is viral on the internet for all the right reasons. As the antagonist Rehman Dakait, he steals the show throughout. The character is based on Rehman Baloch, who formed the Peoples' Aman Committee in Lyari. As shown in Dhurandhar, he was killed on August 9, 2009.

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt’s character, SP Chaudhary Aslam, is a notorious police officer. It is based on Chaudhary Aslam Khan Swati. Though his role in Rehman Dakait hasn’t been confirmed in reality, the film shows him to be a part of the assassination plan.

R Madhavan

R Madhavan plays the Intelligence Bureau director, Ajay Sanyal. Without him, Hamza’s entry into Pakistan’s underworld would have been impossible. Calling the shots, Sanyal’s role is key to the proceedings. According to reports, National Security Advisor of India Ajit Doval inspired the character.

Arjun Rampal

Major Iqbal will be in his full glory in Dhurandhar part 2. In the first installment, his role in the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack was highlighted and that sparked rage within Hamza or Jaskirat. Arjun Rampal will be returning for a massive showdown with Ranveer in the second part.

Rakesh Bedi

Rakesh Bedi plays a shrewd Pakistani political leader Jameel Jamali. Said to be loosely based on Nabil Ahmed Gabol, a Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, he is Rehman’s rival and a part of the assassination plan. His role in Dhurandhar part 2 will be pivotal to the story.

Sara Arjun

Sara Arjun marks her debut as the leading lady in Dhurandhar. She plays Jameel’s daughter, a medical student, who falls in love with Hamza. Eventually, she is a pawn in the conspiracy and through her, Hamza is able to kill Rehman and gain Jameel and Chaudhary’s confidence.

Gaurav Gera

In Hamza’s journey, Gaurav Gera’s Aalam plays an important role. Without him, it was impossible for the infiltrator to enter Rehman’s gang. He will continue in Dhurandhar part 2.

Danish Pandor

One of the most loved characters from Dhurandhar has to be Uzair Baloch. Played by Danish Pandor, Uzair’s character might take an unexpected twist in the upcoming part. Dhurandhar is running successfully in theatres from December 5. The second part releases on March 19, 2026.
