IANS report, industry insiders claim that Vijay Sethupathi has joined the Goa schedule of
Jailer 2, where his portions are reportedly being filmed under Nelson’s direction.However, there has been no official confirmation about his role or casting from the makers yet.Earlier this year, Rajinikanth had revealed that the film’s production would likely continue until December. Speaking to reporters at the Chennai airport, he said: "Shooting of Jailer 2 is progressing well. It will be December by the time the film ends."The buzz around the sequel remains high, largely due to the massive success of the first film, which collected approximately Rs 650 crore worldwide.

Jailer 2 began filming in Chennai, with Sun Pictures officially announcing the start of production on March 10. Hindustan Times suggests that Vidya Balan may play the role of Mithun Chakraborty’s eldest daughter. Mithun will reportedly serve as the film’s primary antagonist, appearing alongside Rajinikanth.If the reports hold true,
Jailer 2 would mark Vidya Balan’s full-fledged Tamil debut following her cameo in
