starrer Drishyam 3 is continuing its successful theatrical run with strong earnings at the global box office. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the crime thriller released on May 21 and opened to positive audience response from audiences. On Day 8, the film earned around Rs 6.50 crore nett in India, taking its domestic total to Rs 81.80 crore. Overseas markets have also contributed well, pushing the worldwide gross collection close to the Rs 200 crore milestone. The film has now joined the list of top-performing Malayalam films globally, further establishing the love people have for the acclaimed Drishyam franchise.
Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 8: Mohanlal's Film Performs Strongly Overseas
International markets continue to play a major role in the film’s success story. On Day 8 alone, Drishyam 3 earned nearly Rs 5.50 crore from overseas territories, taking its international gross total to Rs 103 crore. On day 8, Drishyam 3 collected around Rs 6.50 crore nett in India on its eighth day. While this marked a slight 2.3 percent dip from Day 7 collections of Rs 6.65 crore, the film maintained good momentum at the box office. Drishyam 3 was screened across 3,453 shows on its second Thursday.
The film’s India nett collection now stands at Rs 81.80 crore, while the India gross has reached Rs 94.91 crore. Kerala continues to remain the biggest contributor to the film’s success, adding Rs 5.55 crore in gross collections on Day 8 alone.
Other southern states also delivered steady numbers. Karnataka contributed Rs 80 lakhs, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together added Rs 48 lakhs. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 45 lakhs, with the remaining territories across India accounting for Rs 25 lakhs.The Malayalam version recorded an overall occupancy of 47.75 percent, with evening and night shows witnessing better footfall. Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered 17.58 percent occupancy, Tamil screenings recorded 29.07 percent, and Kannada shows stood at 21.83 percent.

Amid the film’s success, Mohanlal thanked audiences for their continued support. “Three films. Three chapters. One unbroken bond. Thank you for walking with Georgekutty & Family,” the actor wrote on X. After its theatrical run, Drishyam 3 is reported to stream on Prime Video. Since most theatrical releases arrive on OTT platforms within six to eight weeks,it is reported that the film could begin streaming by late June or early July. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the release date.
