In Dies Irae, Arun plays Kiran, the brother of Kani (Sushmita Bhat), who meets Pranav Mohanlal’s character, Rohan. Kiran’s emotional pain, rooted in the memory of his sister’s suicide, forms one of the film's compelling scenes. Arun Ajikumar captures the trauma and sleeplessness with his controlled performance Arun Ajikumar's journey began in theatr when he was a child. He starred in Rosshan Andrews' plays when he was in class 3. His early stint with the camera came in school through a short film titled Nakshathrangaluude Rajakumaran, Mammookka’s Biography, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph.
