Apple has officially locked in the dates for its annual developer event and WWDC 2026 is set to run from June 8 to June 12. As always, the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to use the stage to unveil the next phase of software updates across its ecosystem. But this time, there’s a clear theme emerging early on, artificial intelligence, with Siri right at the centre of it. Keep reading to see what could be coming.Siri Upgrades And Key AnnouncementsOne of the biggest talking points ahead of the event is Siri’s long-awaited upgrade. According to multiple reports, the iPhone maker is working on a refreshed interface that feels more modern and visually dynamic. The design is said to borrow cues from the glowing aesthetic seen in the WWDC teaser. As
per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, Siri could integrate directly with the Dynamic Island. Instead of popping up as a full-screen overlay, it may appear as a compact “Search or Ask” prompt, paired with a subtle glowing animation and a cursor-like interaction. It sounds small, but it could make the whole experience feel far more fluid.Beyond the visuals, the US-based tech giant is reportedly pushing Siri closer to how modern AI assistants behave. That means fewer one-line commands and more natural, back-and-forth conversations.Reports suggest Siri could handle multi-step requests in a single go and even understand what’s happening on your screen to give more relevant answers. In short, less “repeat yourself” frustration and more actual assistance.iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max Colour Options Surface Online Ahead Of LaunchThere’s also talk of Apple exploring third-party AI models to boost Siri’s intelligence. Some reports hint at integrations similar to Google’s Gemini, although nothing is confirmed yet.On top of that, Gurman has previously mentioned that Apple may introduce a dedicated Siri app. This could allow users to revisit past conversations and interact with the assistant in a more structured way, something that hasn’t really been possible so far.Device Compatibility And What’s NextWhile the new Siri experience may technically work on devices with the Dynamic Island, certain advanced features are expected to be limited to newer models like the iPhone 15 Pro and above, mainly due to Apple Intelligence requirements. Apart from Siri, the Cupertino tech giant is expected to unveil iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27 during the event.
