Ranveer
Singh has been banned from Bollywood? The ongoing Don 3 dispute, which led the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to issue a non-cooperation notice against the Dhurandhar star, recently sparked rumours. It also triggered debates in Bollywood and on social media. FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit clarified that they have not boycotted the actor while discussions online continue to grow. Amid the row, director Kunal Kohli has praised the actor. He said that social media users, fans, and producers need to understand that no actor, even the biggest stars, is immune to delivering a flop film and they shouldn't be judged solely based on box office success or failure.
Ranveer Singh Is Wonderful Actor: Kunal Kohli
In an interview with
NDTV, the filmmaker spoke about
Ranveer's powerful comeback with the Aditya Dhar spy actioner after delivering a string of flops. He stated that every actor will inevitably face failures, and such outcomes do not define their talent or career. He added that this applies equally to actors, producers, and directors. He further said that Ranveer will continue to deliver both hit and flop films. This, according to Kohli, is the natural course of an actor’s journey and shouldn't be treated as a big issue. He advised that if a film is good, it should be acknowledged, and if it fails, it should be accepted and one should move on while learning from the experience.Kohli also praised Singh as a brilliant actor and noted that he has delivered outstanding performances in films like
Dhurandhar as well as in some films that did not perform well. He concluded that judging an actor solely based on box office success or failure reflects the viewer’s limited understanding of cinema.
The
Fanaa director didn't address the Don 3 controversy.
