Superstar Rajinikanth has arrived in Kochi, Kerala, to resume filming for the much-awaited action sequel Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. This crucial schedule brings the project closer to completion
as the team gears up for a mid-2026 release, with June 2026 set as the release window. The sequel follows the massive success of Jailer (2023), which emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Notably, the climax of the first film was shot at Athirappilly Falls in Kerala, making the region an important part of the franchise and hinting that key sequences which may be even the climax portions.
