What is the story about?
Actor
Manav Gohil plays a key role in both Dhurandhar films as Sushant Bansal, the deputy director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). His scenes took place with R Madhavan and Ranveer Singh in the Aditya Dhar films. Manav discussed how his character was essentially taking on the role of bad cop in the spy thrillers. The actor also praised both his scene partners for bringing their A-games in the films. He was impressed by Madhavan's transformation to become Ajay Sanyal, the director of the IB and Ranveer's dedication to fully immerse himself into the part. Here's what Manav shared about his role in Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Manav Gohli on working with R Madhavan and Ranveer Singh
In an interview with Zoom, Manav recalled how the trio worked on their scenes for the Hindi feature. He shared, "There were two scenes where we talked to Ranveer about being a spy and in both scenes, I felt that Aditya had kept a good cop, bad cop. So I was the one doing the bad cop thing and Maddy was the one who opened the umbrella and said, 'Come under it.' First, I was talking to his character in tongue-in-cheek. My character was riling him up and Madhavan would come and embrace [the idea] saying, 'We are the ones who can do it for you. You are the one who can do it for us.' So I think that is the basic chemistry that Aditya was looking for."

Manav went on to add, "And Ranveer being Ranveer, he was so into that zone. You looked at him and felt that poor guy, I wish I could do something for you. He was feeling so vulnerable [in character]. It just turned out fine. Every scene was tuned to the right frequency and placed just right by Aditya and fortunately all the actors were so in sync that we were all for the scene. It was nobody bigger than the other. It was the scene that was the biggest at that moment. We all tried to take out something and contribute, which was Aditya's vision completely." Manav Gohil's favourite scenes from the Dhurandhar films When asked to name his favourite scenes from the films, Manav praised Dhurandhar's star, Ranveer. He named Ranveer's emotional scenes in the espionage film and discussed the sensitivity with which they have been treated. Manav said, "We are not seeing for the first time that injustice has been meted out to someone and their family and he takes revenge. But the way it has been treated and the way Ranveer has performed it, I felt there can't be a more honest and out-there performance, particularly in the scenes in front of his family. I still choke [up]. Kya kiya hai uss ladke ne [What has that boy done!]. Those were the scenes that really stayed with me." Dhurandhar 2 continues to plow through at the box office on day 18 in India. It has now become the first Bollywood film to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club in India.
