Rana Daggubati takes a dig at Deepika Padukone
During a candid roundtable chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Rana Daggubati was asked about the 8-hour shift debate after Deepika Padukone’s demand for it. For the unversed, Rana had already shared his opinion regarding fixed shifts in an earlier interview. Now, he has taken a dig at Deepika by joining the debate once again. The Baahubali actor graced the roundtable with Dulquer Salmaan, Vikramaditya Motwane and Archana Kalpathi. He shared his views on the debate by stating, “This is not a job; it's a lifestyle. Each film will ask for something else. It's not a factory. We could sit for eight hours and the best scene comes out, or sit for fifty and nothing comes out.”

For example, in Maharashtra, it's a 12-hour shift, while Telugu cinema typically has an 8-hour shift starting at 7 am. Everyone has a certain mentality, and the city also gives to certain things. You are seeing it as a generic statement – it is not. If you have to shoot on a set, it depends on how much prep you need. There are films taking place on a big spectacle where only two shoots take place in a day.” It looks like Rana Daggubati didn’t like Deepika Padukone’s stand on fixed working hours in the showbiz. On the professional front, Deepika will next be seen in Allu Arjun's next film with Atlee. Stay tuned for more updates!
