The film body called for a ban on the Bollywood actor after Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani informed that they spent Rs 45 crore on the pre-production of Don 3. Days after FWICE's non-cooperation directive, Ranveer reportedly sent a legal notice to the organisation. A media report suggested that the film body would've to respond to the court. Amid this, the latest development is that the organisation might lift the non-cooperation directive against the Dhurandhar actor.
FWICE to lift Ranveer Singh's non-cooperation directive?
On June 2, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees announced that it would hold a press conference today (June 3). Following this, Bollywood Hungama reported that the head honchos of FWICE are expected to announce that will be lifting the non-cooperation directive against Ranveer.
The revocation of their previous order has reportedly been done in consultation with senior members of the film industry. "In short, the workers are now free to work with Ranveer Singh in his upcoming projects," a source told the entertainment portal. That said, an official statement from the organisation is awaited.Last week, FWICE had directed its members not to work with Ranveer on his upcoming projects. The film body took this decision after Farhan urged them to take action, stating that the actor quit his film days before the commencement of the shoot. The organisation's president Ashoke Pandit told media, "None of our workers or members, across all crafts, will work on any of his projects. We have requested that all producers take a stand, join us in solidarity, speak out against this conduct, and make a firm decision." However, he later clarified that the non-cooperation directive wasn't a 'ban' on Ranveer.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer was last seen in
Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller featured Ranveer play the role of Hamza Ali Mazari/ Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Produced by JioStudios and Aditya Dhar Films, the movie earned a whopping Rs 1,148.88 crore at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, it collected Rs 1,812.96 crore at the worldwide box office. Co-starring Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and others, the project was released in theatres on March 19. Next up, the Bollywood actor is expected to be a part of Jai Mehta's Pralay.
