and Chupke Chupke star Dharmendra died of age-related illness on November 24, 2025, in Mumbai, just two weeks shy of his 90th birthday. Wife Hema Malini had earlier hosted a prayer meet for the veteran actor on November 27 at her Mumbai house. Now, she and her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, held one more prayer meet at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre on Janpath, Delhi, to honour his memory. Take a look!

Besides Hema and her daughters Esha and Ahana, the prayer meet was attended by family, close friends, and colleagues in the nation's capital. Esha's ex-husband, Bharat Takhtani, and Ahana's husband, Vaibhav Vohra, were also present. The prayer meeting began at 4 pm.
In a video, Hema and Esha are seen paying a floral tribute to Dharmendra's portrait before heading inside. According to a report in IndiaTV, the venue had messages up that stated, 'Dharmendra, a legacy that lives on.' The veteran actress also took to the stage, where she spoke fondly about her late husband. She recalled that out of the 45 films that they co-starred in, over 25 of those were superhits. Hema also shared that Dharmendra had been a true gentleman and taught her about life.
