2, a spiritual sequel to the 2022 film Vadh, is currently playing in theatres. Starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in lead roles, the crime thriller was theatrically released on February 6. Vadh 2 plot, ending explained
Vadh 2 follows the story of Manju (played by Neena) and Shambhunath Mishra (played by
Sanjay). While Manju has been in prison for 28 years on a double murder charge, Shambhunath is a police officer. Prakash Singh, essayed by Kumud Mishra, is appointed as the new jailer.
One fine day, Prakash trashes Keshav (Akshay Dogra), brother of an powerful MLA, for his wrongdoings in the jail. After being brutally trashed, Keshav is nowhere to be found the next day. This is followed by a thorough investigation by Ateet Singh, who learns that Keshav was murdered. The scenes leading up to the climax reveal that Keshav's mortal remains are found in the backyard of Prakash's house. Ateet even finds Prakash's ring as evidence. But did he actually kill Keshav? The answer is no!Manju is the one who killed Keshav after he tried to misbehave with a young girl Naina Kumari (Yogita Bihani) in jail. Shambhunath helped Manju by burying Keshav's body in the backyard of Prakash's home. The twists comes when ones learns that 28 years ago, Prakash had killed a couple, for which Manju was falsely accused. Cut to now, the police officer is framed in Keshav's murder case and gets imprisoned.

While Jaspal Singh Sandhu has written the film, Neha Shitole and Rahul Sain have assisted on the additional screenplay and dialogues. It has been produced by Luv Ranjan under the banner of Luv Films. Vadh 2 is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 10 crore. Sanjay and Neena are rumoured to have charged Rs 75 lakh, respectively for their roles.
After its theatrical run ends, Vadh 2 will land on streaming. The makers have locked Netflix as the film's streaming partner. However, an official confirmation on the crime thriller's OTT release date is awaited.
