Kim
Soo-Hyun cannot catch a break even after his legal troubles are finally looking to end. He is making headlines after the older brother of late actress Sulli shared a cryptic social media message shortly after police reportedly dismissed allegations that the actor groomed late actress Kim Sae-Ron during her minor years. The message, which many online interpreted as a warning directed at Kim Soo-Hyun, can be connected to past allegations connected to both Kim Sae-Ron and Sulli. While no new legal accusations have emerged, the timing and wording of the post have left little to imagination.
Kim Soo-Hyun is innocent?
According to Korean media reports, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station concluded that allegations claiming Kim Soo-Hyun was involved in an underage relationship with Kim Sae-Ron were false. The findings were reportedly included in a detention warrant application reviewed by Korean media outlet JoongAng Ilbo on May 21. Police allegedly determined that evidence circulated publicly, including SNS messenger conversations and audio recordings, had been fabricated. Authorities further stated that Kim Se-Eui, head of the controversial YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, knowingly spread false information about Kim Soo-Hyun for financial gain and YouTube revenue.
According to the police filing, investigators believed Kim Se-Eui was aware there was no factual basis for claims that Kim Soo-Hyun dated Kim Sae-Ron while she was underage, but allegedly continued distributing the claims with the intention of damaging the actor’s reputation.
Sulli's brother sends a cryptic warning
Shortly after reports about the police findings made their way online, Sulli’s older brother, identified publicly only by his surname Choi, shared a cryptic social media message that immediately drew attention from Korean netizens. "The moment you make a comeback, the second round begins. The choice is yours," he wrote, as reported by
AllKpop.
It did not stop at this! Choi allegedly responded to a comment asking, "Who did that?" with the reply, "There’s a guy from the stars." Many social media users interpreted the remark as an apparent reference to
My Love From The Star, the hit drama that cemented Kim Soo-Hyun’s status as one of South Korea’s biggest stars. This is not the first time Choi has publicly alluded to Kim Soo-Hyun. In previous posts, Sulli’s brother made allegations that suggested the actor’s side pressured the late idol-actress during the filming of the 2017 movie
Real. The film, which starred Kim Soo-Hyun and Sulli, has remained controversial over the years due to discussions surrounding Sulli’s explicit scenes and reports about her experience during production. However, no formal legal action connected to those allegations has been publicly confirmed.
