Agastya Nanda's Ikkis To Arrive This Christmas! Big Cash Averted As Alia Bhatt's Alpha Gets Postponed
Times Now
After much anticipation, the trailer of Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra’s upcoming film Ikkis has finally been unveiled and it gives a stirring glimpse into the extraordinary life of Second Lieutenant Arun
Khetarpal, India’s youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. Directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, the biographical war drama is slated for release on Christmas, 25th December 2025. The film was initially set for one of the biggest clashes of the year with Alia Bhatt, Sharwari's Alpha on the same day. But the YRF Spy Universe movie, also starring Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol later announced its postponment, setting its new release date to April 17, 2026.
Ikkis Is Coming This Christmas
On Monday, Maddock Films announced Ikkis release date with a promising new poster. Fans are excited to watch Agastya Nanda on the big screens on December 25 as announced by the makers.
Ikkis is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal — India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra hero. At just 21, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal became a legend. His story is not one of age, but of spirit — of honour, sacrifice, and glory. Of courage that defined a generation, and will keep doing so for generations to come. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present Ikkis, directed by National Award-winning director Sriram Raghavan — the extraordinary tale of a young soldier who proved that bravery has no age.
About Alpha
Ikkis averting a clash with Alpha has left fans relieved. Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and a special cameo by Hrithik Roshan. Deol’s character from Alpha was introduced with War 2, starring Hrithik, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. The post-credit scene featured him inking the logo of the secret agency on a young girl’s hand, who could purportedly be Alia’s character. Alpha, co-starring Anil Kapoor, releases on 25th Christmas 2025. It is directed by Shiv Rawail, the director of Netflix’s acclaimed miniseries, The Railway Men.
