According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Meryl and Anne's comedy drama, The Devil Wears Prada 2, minted Rs 5.5 crore on day 1. Talking about the film's gross collections, it stands at Rs 6.57 crore in India. It remains to be seen how the film performs in the coming days.
For the unversed, The Devil Wears Prada 2 clashed with Riteish Deshmukh's historical drama Raja Shivaji and Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi's Ek Din at the box office on May 1. Riteish's film, based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life, earned Rs 11.35 crore on day one. On the other hand, Junaid and Sai's romantic is rumoured to have earned around Rs 1 crore.

Taking to his Instagram handle, the director-producer wrote that nostalgia is powerful because it keeps the present hopeful. KJo added that the memory of TDWP is embedded in his heart. And after watching the second part, Karan walked out more in love with Meryl.
He understood the pursuits of her character Miranda, although she was 'tough leader' and 'aesthetically judgemental'. Karan admitted that he understood Miranda for her chase to attain perfection and excellence.
