When Parveen Babi spoke about relationship with Kabir Bedi

During a 1997 interview with Stardust, Parveen said that she never resented Kabir's success. The actor was in middle of receiving several international work offers when he was dating Parveen. Speaking about it, the actress stated that to be with him, she would've had to follow him all over the world. However, as a woman she had ego and pride, and that's why she could never become a 'man's tag', she added.

In the same conversation, Parveen admitted that she would've never gone into marriage with Kabir just to keep him by her side. "I wanted a normal, secure relationship and not a bondage for Kabir and me," she expressed. And if it all they wanted to marry, Parveen mentioned that it would be natural thing to do, instead of it being a 'solution'. In fact, when Kabir was flooded with Hollywood offers, the actress decided to remain distant rather than being possessive about him. Parveen had mentioned that the actor was exposed to all kinds of new experiences, in terms of 'glamour and women'. She admitted to witnessing how females were 'ready to throw themselves' at him. "And if Kabir gets attracted to anyone, I could hardly blame him. But I can’t be expected to take it all and sit back and be treated like a doormat," she added.

In another interview, as reported by India Today, Parveen reflected on her breakup with Kabir. The actress stated that she didn't her parting with Kabir affect 'shatter her to pieces' because there was nobody to pick her up.“ Shedding light on her relationship with him, the actress mentioned that every moment of those two years spent with Kabir were worth it for her.
