Deepika Padukone's stunts to be performed by body double

According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, Atlee (who welcomed his second child this month) has decided to use a body double for Deepika Padukone’s extremely intense action sequences in Raaka. The actress plays a physically demanding role in the film and instead of pushing her to perform intense stunts during pregnancy, the team has opted for a safer alternative. The report further says that Deepika has already completed several close-up shots, which will later be combined with action portions performed by a double using VFX.

Despite the adjustments in shooting methods, her role will be unchanged, with no scenes being cut or reduced. She will be a central figure in the film’s storyline. The makers are also ensuring that Deepika focuses on less physically strenuous scenes going forward. Dramatic portions and dialogue-heavy sequences are being scheduled accordingly so that she can continue working comfortably.

Deepika Padukone is due in 6 months

Deepika is expected to continue working through the next several months, giving her the flexibility to complete ongoing commitments in a structured manner.
