After witnessing a dip in its numbers on Saturday, the David Dhawan-directed comedy film took a big jump on Sunday (June 7). In fact, the collections increased by a huge margin, all thanks to a weekend and Varun’s fan following. For the unversed, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai received mixed to negative reviews from the critics. The film is being trolled by netizens for its regressive comedy and poor performances by the actors.
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Box Office Collection Day 3 Report
According to early estimates reported by Sacnilk, the Varun Dhawan starrer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai collected Rs 8.75 crore on day 3. The Sunday turned out to be a blessing for the film, which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde as the female leads. As per the latest box office reports, the Bollywood masala entertainer witnessed 20.7 per cent growth on Sunday as the film minted Rs 1.50 crore more than the Saturday collections. On day 3, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai ran in theatres with 20 per cent occupancy. So, the Varun Dhawan starrer collected Rs 23.50 crore on its first weekend in India. The gross collection of the film in India is Rs 28.20 crore.
Surprisingly, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai also witnessed growth on day 3 in the global market. The film’s worldwide collection is Rs 33.70 crore. Notably, the film is yet to go through the crucial weekday test. It has faced tough competition from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s pan-India film,
Peddi, which was released on June 4.
