Stranger
Things Season 5 Vol. 1 was released all over the world on November 26 and 27 due to time zone differences. But since then one thing has been constant: it's been the number one show on Netflix in all of the countries, except for two. You'll be surprised in which countries the global hit failed to make the cut. Find out more below.
Stranger Things Season 5 is the number one show in 91 countries
According to a post by
What's on Netflix on X (formerly Twitter), "STRANGER THINGS season 5 is the number 1 series on Netflix in all but 2 countries, South Korea and Japan." The latter is surprising, as some of the stars of the show, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo, recently stopped by with the creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, to promote the show.
In Japan,
Stranger Things is number 2, with the show
Scandal Eve coming in first. Meanwhile, in South Korea,
Stranger Things is further down in sixth place, as shows such as
Three Idiots in Kenya, Dynamite Kiss, Taxi Driver, Don't Call Me Ma'am, and another Korean show are currently on viewers' watchlists.
