Signed to BIGHT MUSIC under HYBE, CORTIS officially debuted less than a year ago in August 2025. Consisting of five members, Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, is well known for their hands-on approach to songwriting, choreography and their creative direction. All the members from this K-Pop group have their own distinctive backgrounds and skill sets to the group’s DIY and global music style. With Martin being the group leader and production genius, James, the oldest member and performance killer; Juhoon, the group’s lead rapper and vocalist alongside Seonghyeon and Keonho – the youngest member and visual centre of their group, they, unlike many traditionally idolised groups, lean into an alternative and more westernised pop identity.
Debut and recent success
The versatile five-member group had a highly successful debut EP (extended play), Colour Outside the Lines, with its most viral track called, What You Want. Making their debut at number 8 on the Worlds Album chart before climbing to top spot in the subsequent week. As their debut EP continues to achieve new heights, holding 6th position in its 35th week of release on the charts. Meanwhile, their second EP GREENGREEN has made a record setting entrance on America’s most prestigious albums chart – Billboard 200, debuting at number 3. This achievement comes less than a year after their debut, making them the fastest K-Pop act in recent years, after excluding project-based groups, after reaching the chart’s Top 3.However, GRENGREEN debuted at number 8 on the Worlds Album chart before climbing up to top position in its second week. Meanwhile, the lead single, REDRED, has also been creating the wave of its own by entering the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 10 at No. 17. This makes them the first K-Pop boys group in the recent five years to achieve the feat, just nine months into their career.
2026 Line-ups for CORTIS
CORTIS has been building a presence beyond just the music charts, be it headlining the opening night of the NBA Crossover Concert series and becoming the first K-Pop group to lead the event, or returning the following day to perform at the All-Star Game Halftime show. Lollapalooza, Chicago debut alongside Charli aca, Tate McRae and Lorde, this August 2026.The group’s name itself, coming from the letters within the phrase “Colour Outside The Lines”, has constantly reflected what their label describes as a commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
