Google has been under the radar for a very long time because users claimed that the AI working on Gmail is using their data. Now, a tech expert has urged a lot of users to turn off several features because he says
that with these features, Google could automatically access their sensitive email data and use it to train AI. According to a report published by The NY Post, Engineering YouTuber Davery Jones wrote on X, 'IMPORTANT message for everyone using Gmail. You have been automatically OPTED IN to allow Gmail to access all your private messages & attachments to train AI models.' He also added, 'You have to manually turn off Smart Features in the Settings menu in TWO locations.'According to the post, desktop and laptop users would have to click on the 'See all settings' tab, and head to Smart features and uncheck the 'Turn on smart features on Gmail, Chat, and Meet.'After that, click on Manae Workspace smart feature settings. Now, you will be directed to a secondary pop-up that will let you unselect the features in Google products and Google Workspace. By deactivating these functions, Gmail users will get rid of the Ask Gemini feature that offers content summary, suggestions from Google Assistant and the Gemini app, along with other features. We May Soon Get To See Google Gemini Humanoid Robots, All You Need To Know
