years after Bridgerton season 3, Netflix premiered the first part of the fourth edition today (January 29). This time, there is a new couple in the ‘ton’. Lady Whistledown’s identity has been revealed, and she, Penelope Featherington, is happily married to her Prince (Charmin) Colin Bridgerton. The focus of Bridgerton season 4 is Benedict and Sophie Baek. The first four episodes of the show are premiering on Netflix, whereas the concluding half is scheduled for February 26. Before the season comes to an end, the makers of the period romance have confirmed the next edition. Yes, Bridgerton 5 is in the making.

Bridgerton 5 plot prediction

The Bridgerton siblings, Benedict, Daphne, Anthony, Colin, Francesca, Eloise, Gregory and Hyacinth, have been a part of Lady Whistledown during the ball season. While Anthony, Colin and Francesca are married, Eloise, Gregory and Hyacinth haven’t found their perfect matches yet. Benedict’s love story takes off in the fourth; it seems Eloise is the next in line.

Hinting at the same, showrunner Jess Brownell wore a brown suit with a white pocket square embroidered with the initials ‘E’ and ‘F’. The showrunner told Deadline that characters with their initials written on the pocket squares would be getting their respective seasons next. This confirms that Eloise will meet her man in the fifth season. ‘F’ could be Francesca. Though she married Lord John Stirling in the previous season, her character track might change if the makers follow Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton novel, where the sixth book, titled When He Was Wicked, shows the events of season three as a flashback. As per the book, Lord Stirling dies within two years of marriage. Drowned in grief, she spends her life with Lord John’s brother, Michael. Bridgerton season 5 is expected to release around Spring 2027. The shoot might begin in March 2026.

The fourth season is a version of Cinderella as the lead character Sophie (Yerin Ha), sneaks away to a ball where she meets Benedict (Luke Thompson). The Netflix series introduces the new heroine, who works for the Gun and Li family, who are also attending the famed Bridgerton masquerade ball. The season marks the return of Simone Ashley (Kate), Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), and Luke Newton (Colin). Penelope and Colin’s family has grown with the arrival of Elliot.
