Vijay is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10. Ahead of it, Trisha Krishnan was seen arriving at the venue Chennai’s Nehru Stadium with enthusiasm. The event follows Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s invitation to Vijay to form the government after his formal appointment as Chief Minister. The Governor has also asked Vijay to prove his majority on the Assembly floor by May 13. Trisha, who arrived at the venue with her mother, Uma Krishnan, briefly interacted with the media before entering the event and expressed her anticipation for the “big day for Tamil Nadu.”
Trisha Arrives To Support Vijay At His Oath-Taking Ceremony
At the venue, Trisha was seen waving at the crowd and was warmly greeted by AGS Entertainment CEO Archana Kalpathi, who gave her a hug. She looked elegant in a green saree paired with a contrasting gold blouse, completing her traditional look with jasmine flowers in her hair and a jewellery set.
Earlier, while leaving her Chennai residence, Trisha spoke briefly to the media. Smiling, she said, “Thank you, looking forward,” when asked about her feelings regarding the historic occasion, as seen in visuals shared by ANI.
Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) made a strong impact in its electoral debut, breaking into Tamil Nadu’s long-standing binary political landscape that has been dominated by Dravidian parties for six decades. The party secured a significant 108 seats out of the state’s 234-seat Assembly, emerging as a major new force. The results mark a notable shift in the state’s political dynamics, traditionally led by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).

Meanwhile, Vijay’s association with Trisha has once again become a topic of public discussion following her appearance at the ceremony. The two have starred in popular films such as Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, and Kuruvi, and are considered one of Tamil cinema’s most beloved on-screen pairs.
After Leo released in theatres, Trisha opened up about reuniting professionally with Vijay. At the film’s success meet, she said working with him felt like meeting a “school friend” after a long time. The actress added that the same sense of comfort, affection, and friendship still existed between them. Trisha also noted that in her 20-year career, her longest on-screen association has been with Vijay.Notably, Trisha had shared a Ghilli-inspired post featuring a whistle symbol. The Election Commission of India (ECI) allotted a similar whistle symbol to Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
