Rashmika Mandanna Breaks Silence On Salman Khan’s Sikandar Failure: What Happened Was Very Different

Mandanna has been riding high on success after delivering big hits like Chhaava, The Girlfriend, Thamma and so on in 2025. However, one film that left not even Rashmika but Salman Khan heartbroken was Sikandar. The AR Murugadoss-directed film turned out to be a box office disaster. In a recent interview, Rashmika Mandanna made a shocking revelation about Sikandar and revealed the main reason behind the Salman Khan-starrer’s failure. For the unversed, Rashmika Mandanna was paired opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar. The film was released on Eid 2025 and couldn’t even recover the budget amount of it.

During an interaction with a Telugu journalist, Prema, Rashmika Mandanna explained why Sikandar failed miserably at the box office. She said that the script was completely different from the one she heard during the narration of the film. Rashmika Mandanna stated, “Sikandar, I remember talking to Murugadoss sir; of course, later what happened was very different. But when I heard the script, it was indeed quite a different script.”

The Girlfriend actress also said, “Generally that happens with films. When you listen to something, it is one story that you have listened to, but over the making of the film, things change according to the performances, according to the edits, and according to the time of the release. Things change, and that is very common. So that happened with Sikandar.” Sikandar was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 200 crore, but the Sacnilk report suggests that the Salman Khan-starrer earned only Rs 185 crore worldwide.
