Taking to X (Formerly known as Twitter), Mohanlal penned a heartfelt note and wrote, "Honoured and delighted to share that #Thudarum is an official selection at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the Indian Panorama category." He concluded the note by expressing gratitude and said, "Thank you for this incredible recognition (with a heart emoticon)."

Thudarum broke records at box office
The movie emerged as one of the most successful films and received praise from fans and critics alike. According to industry trade tracker Sacnilk, Thudarum achieved an impressive worldwide gross of approximately ₹237.76 crore, with around ₹143.96 crore earned from the domestic box office and ₹93.80 crore from overseas markets. This remarkable performance propelled the film to become the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of its time, setting a new benchmark for box-office success in the industry.
