VDxShouryuv: Vijay Deverakonda Announces New Film With 'Firecracker' Global Team, Calls It 'Intimidating'

Vijay Deverakonda fans simply cannot keep calm! The South star has announced his upcoming project. After the highly anticipated period drama Ranabaali with Rashmika Mandanna, he is set to join hands with director Shouryuv. The Hi Nanna filmmaker is teaming up with Deverakonda for an "intimidating film." Officially announcing the project, the Arjun Reddy actor expressed his excitement and promised to give it his all to meet fans’ expectations. The makers also shared an intriguing first poster featuring Vijay and his squad. According to the post, Hesham Abdul Wahab is composing the music for the film. Acclaimed ASC/AMC cinematographer Alejandro Martínez, known for Fallout and House of the Dragon, is also part of the project. Suresh Selvarajan will handle production design, while Praveen Antony is set to edit the film. Eric Durst, Emmy-winning visual effects supervisor known for work on Snowpiercer (2013), Gods of Egypt (2016), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Five Days at Memorial, is also associated with the project. Sachin Lovalekar, National Award winner for Best Costume Design for Sam Bahadur, will oversee the costumes.The excitement among fans is already high!Viijay Deverakonda's NextApart from this, Vijay has Ranabaali. The movie marks his first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna after their wedding. It is set during the British Raj, specifically between 1854 and 1878. Reportedly, it portrays the devastating famine in India during this era, which led to the loss of around 100 million lives along with large-scale exploitation and wealth drain from the country. The film focuses on these historical injustices, highlighting the hardships faced by people under colonial rule.Ranabaali is scheduled to release in theatres across multiple languages on September 11. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, it is being presented as a pan-India visual spectacle. Vijay plays Ranabaali and Rashmika portrays Jayamma in the film.
