Rani
Mukerji has cracked the code for work-life balance. While being an on-screen idol for millions, she is the real superstar for her daughter Adira. Guarding her away from the media, Mukerji has ensured she gets a normal childhood without being overexposed on social media. During a conversation with Karan Johar to celebrate 30 years in cinema, Rani received a special handwritten letter from Adira. The filmmaker read out the letter, leaving the actress emotional. As Karan read out the letter, Rani could be seen getting teary-eyed. With a smile on her face, the actress let her daughter’s words make a special corner in her heart.

In her letter,
Adira wrote, “First of all, I just want to say that I love you. You are the best mother in the world. We have shared countless memories together - joyful, tearful and, of course, funny. There are some qualities I like about you, some qualities I don't and some qualities I have inherited from you.”
She further penned, “Some qualities that I have got from you are my acting, dancing and painting skills. One quality I don't like about you but have got from you is your short temper. We might be a bit different, like how you like bold colours and I like pastels but at the same time, we are quite similar in many ways - like our looks, habits and skills. There are also some qualities that I have but you don't have like my school math skills. When I grow up, I want to be kind, confident, loving, intelligent and stylish, just like you.”
Rani Mukerji on why daughter Adira has never seen her films
In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Rani spoke about Adira and said, “Though she has not seen my films because she’s too attached and she feels sad when she sees me cry, she finds it difficult to watch me on screen. She likes to see me when I’m dancing and when I am happy on screen. She loves Hichki, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, and Bunty Aur Babli. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was tough for her to watch because, in the first scene, I die, so I couldn’t go beyond that," the actress shared. Rani also shared, " When I am wearing makeup, she tells me, ‘Mamma, you are not looking like my mother.’ So when I remove my makeup and come to her, she tells me, ‘Now you look like my mother’."
