Nagarjuna Reviews Son Akhil's Lenin
Nagarjuna watched its first cut. Deeply impressed, he publicly praised the film and his son’s performance, he tweeted that audiences would witness a completely new version of Akhil. His message on social media created a wave of excitement among fans, who celebrated verdict as a major win for the film. Lenin is slated to hit theatres on June 26, 2026, with the makers showing complete confidence in the film’s potential. However, the release is set to coincide with Ram Charan’s Peddi, setting up a big box office clash. Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead in the film, which was originally scheduled for release on April 30.
To avoid a box office clash with Ram Charan’s Peddi, the makers postponed it to June 26. Although there were later reports suggesting the film might be advanced to May 1 after Peddi’s delay, the team has officially confirmed that the June 26 release date will remain unchanged. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film is produced Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner. The movie stars Akhil alongside Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, with music composed by S. Thaman.
Initially, Sreeleela was cast as the female lead, and portions of the film were shot with her. However, due to scheduling conflicts, she exited the project, leading to Bhagyashri Borse stepping into the role. A teaser released on Akhil’s birthday in April 2025.
