2’s promotions are in full swing. Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna, and Shahid Kapoor were in Pune on Friday to promote their film. They interacted with fans at a mall. As expected, fans of Kriti, Rashmika and Shahid flocked to meet them. Due to the high-profile event, the mall got overcrowded in no time. People broke barriers to catch a glimpse of their favourite actors, prompting security officials to jump in and protect the stars. After the event wrapped, Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika struggled to make their way through the crowd. Now, a video from the mall has surfaced on social media, showing Kriti’s protective gesture towards Rashmika.

In the video that went viral on social media, Shahid could be seen annoyed as the crowd blocked the way out. As he walked ahead, fans surrounded Kriti and Rashmika, making it difficult for them to exit. While people blocked the route and caused chaos, Kriti stepped in to protect Rashmika. Making sure she was safe, the Mimi star wrapped her arm around the Pushpa actress.

Expressing her admiration for Rashmika, Kriti told Zoom during the Femina Beauty Awards, "She's just a very genuine person, kind, lovely and warm. No insecurity. Just goodness, and I think I'm a vibe person. If I feel the aura and I feel positivity, I get drawn to it. I've just had so much fun with her, and she's just amazing. I love her," she said.

Amid reports of Cocktail 2 being a lesbian love story, Rashmika and Kriti opened up about breaking the ice and bonding with each other at the trailer launch. Mandanna said that she met Sanon in the gym and since then, they have been best friends. When Shahid pulled their legs by stating that they looked like a couple in the film, Kriti gave a strong reaction. Director Homi spoke about Kriti and Rashmika’s bond and said, “On the set, Kriti and Rashmika would have a lot of fun. They definitely get a little cuddly with each other since they are friends. We hypothetically thought, what if the story were about them and Shahid was the third wheel driving that grouping? I wouldn't have minded making a film on such a story.” Cocktail 2, a spiritual sequel to Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty and Saif Ali Khan’s Cocktail, releases on June 19.
