Megastar
Chiranjeevi has kickstarted shooting for his 158th film, which is tentatively titled Mega158. A grand puja ceremony was organised in Hyderabad where Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh and actor Pawan Kalyan graced the event to give the clap for the first shot of Mega158, which is being helmed by Bobby Kolli. Chiranjeevi recently took to his X handle and thanked his dear younger brother, Pawan Kalyan, for taking out some time from his busy schedule to attend the event. Chiranjeevi also recalled how things changed as he had given a clap 30 years ago for the Power Star’s debut film, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi (1996).
Chiranjeevi Thanks Pawan Kalyan
Chiranjeevi took to his X handle and penned a grateful note for his brother Pawan Kalyan, who is now the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh. The actor shared pictures showing Kalyan giving a clap for the first shot of
Mega158. In the pictures, one can see Chiranjeevi and
Pawan Kalyan having a gala time together at
Mega158’s puja ceremony. In the note, the actor wrote that he was reminded of the same scene that happened 30 years ago. At that time, Chiranjeevi was a big star, and Pawan started his career in 1996 with the Telugu film
Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu also attended the launch event as a chief guest. In the note, Chiranjeevi fondly referred to Pawan as ‘Kalyan Babu’. Additionally, Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela switched on the camera at the launch.
Mega158’s launch event was indeed special as filmmaker VV Vinayak directed the first shot, while filmmakers B Gopal and A Kodanadrami Reddy with Naga Babu handed over the script to the makers.
KVN Productions’ Venkat K Narayana was also present at the event. It has to be noted that
Mega158 marks Chiranjeevi’s second collaboration with director Bobby Kolli after
Walter Veeraiya. The film’s crew members were extremely happy after Pawan Kalyan graced the event as a chief guest.
