During a recent interview, Sadie Sink did reveal one interesting anecdote about how she got cast in the film. Here's what she said about how she joined the Marvel and Sony film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

Sadie Sink on how netizens knew about her casting before she did

As the latest member of the Stranger Things cast to stop by the The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Sadie talked about she joined the big-budget film. She said, "I found out through online theories. Before I got cast in Spider-Man, there was speculation online that said, 'Sadie Sink is gonna be in the new Spider-Man,' I was like, 'I am?' Sure enough, two days later, they asked me to do it! So yeah, those theories, there's sometimes some truth to it!"

The actress, who recently wrapped her role as Max on Stranger Things after five seasons, kept the secret of who she is playing intact. Sadie told Fallon, "It's torture [not being able to share who she is playing], and there's so much speculation, too. I feel like there's a new character every week."

Some of the guesses of who Sadie could be playing include the shapeshifting multiversal villain Shathra, the mutant Rachel Summers aka Jean Grey from the X-Men, or even Mayday Parker, Peter and Mary Jane's daughter. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III are also part of the fourth film.
