In one of the viral videos from the airport, a bunch of fans surrounded Anushka and Virat as they desired pictures with the power couple. However, amid the chaos, the actress lost her cool and tried calming the crowd. She requested them to maintain decorum and not rush for pictures.

Anushka and Virat made their first public appearance amid the latter’s controversy with German model-influencer LizLaz. Last week, Kohli hit the 'like' button on one of her Instagram photos. Before he ‘unliked’ it, the internet was ablaze with screenshots and memes of Anushka. The couple hasn’t spoken about the controversy yet and it remains unclear whether it was accidental or an algorithm mistake.

According to LizLaz, who is a fan of Virat, she wasn’t aware that he liked her picture on Instagram. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she revealed that people sent her articles on DM and that’s when she got to know about the incident. LizLaz also shared that she felt bad for Virat because the ‘like’ became a big incident. In 2025, Virat accidentally liked Avneet Kaur’s picture on Instagram. As the news spread like wildfire, the cricketer requested everyone not to make unnecessary assumptions. His statement clarified, "I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction.”
